The service is provided for testing and demonstration purposes. Features, availability, and terms may change without notice. No guarantee of availability or data persistence is provided during the beta phase.

FanChat is published by Pierre-Philippe, an independent developer acting as an individual. The publication director is the publisher.

In accordance with article 6-III-2 of the French LCEN, the publisher's identity and address have been communicated to the hosting providers listed below and are available to the competent authorities on request.

Database : PostgreSQL and Redis on a virtual private server rented from Hostinger International Ltd (Cyprus), located in Brazil, reached through PgBouncer.

File storage : Amazon S3 (AWS), United States, for character images and images you attach in chat.

FanChat runs on credits. Every account receives a monthly allowance of 250 credits covering chat, image generation and character creation. No API key and no subscription are required. The cost of each action is published on the credits page.

By using the platform you agree to use it fairly and within your credit balance. On the 1st of each month your balance is topped back up to the monthly allowance; a balance already above it, from a bonus or a refund, is left untouched.

Access to certain features requires an account, created with Google, Discord, GitHub or your email address. One person, one account: you are responsible for your credentials and for what happens under your account.

FanChat is reserved for people aged 18 or over. By ticking the box on the sign-in page you confirm that you are at least 18. We do not ask for your date of birth and do not verify your age.

If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we close it and delete its data. A parent or guardian who believes a minor uses FanChat can write to us at the address above.

Every character on FanChat is an AI. Replies, images and voices are generated automatically, are not written by a human, and may be inaccurate, invented or out of date. They are fiction and entertainment, not advice.

Images and audio generated on FanChat are artificially generated content. Do not present them as real photographs or recordings of real people, and keep an indication that they are AI-generated when you publish or share them, where the law requires it.

All data you create on FanChat (characters, conversations, account) can be deleted at any time via your dashboard or by simple email request.

FanChat does not use your conversations to train models or for any use other than displaying them in your personal interface and running the features you ask for. Details are in the privacy policy.

If you delete your account, all your data (profile, characters, conversations, favorites) is erased from our database. Residual copies in backups and provider logs disappear when those are rotated.

Content generated by the AI via FanChat is provided as-is. FanChat claims no intellectual property rights over generated content.

Characters created (prompts, descriptions, settings) belong to their creators. By making them public, you grant a non-exclusive license to the FanChat community to use them on the platform.

FanChat does not control responses generated by language models. The quality, accuracy, and relevance of the content depend on the underlying AI model.

FanChat cannot be held responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content. LLM responses do not constitute medical, legal, financial, or professional advice.

The user is solely responsible for their use of the platform and the content they generate.

Being in beta, the service may contain bugs or interruptions. No SLA is guaranteed.

Nothing in this notice limits the rights that the law of your country of residence gives you as a consumer and that cannot be waived.

• xAny sexual content involving minors, or exploiting or harming minors in any way
• xCreating images, voices or texts that impersonate a real person without their consent, or that are meant to deceive
• xSpreading false information with intent to harm
• xUsing the platform for automated decision-making affecting rights
• xAttempting to bypass security measures, or abusing the credit system
• xUsing the platform to collect personal data from third parties without consent
• xAny use that breaches the law applicable to you, including the law of the country from which you access the service

If you choose to publish a conversation with a character to that character's public page, the messages you wrote, the character's replies, and your public nickname become visible to anyone who visits that page, including through search engines. You control this: publishing is never automatic, and you can remove a publication at any time from the chat menu or from your dashboard. A character's creator may also remove a conversation published on their character's page, and FanChat may remove any publication that violates these terms.

FanChat is operated from outside mainland China. If you use it from mainland China, you do so on your own initiative and you must comply with the laws that apply to you there.

The service is reserved for people aged 18 or over, and all characters, replies, images and voices are AI-generated. Your personal information is processed outside mainland China, as described in the privacy policy, which also sets out your rights under the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL).

These legal notices are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent jurisdiction, without depriving you of the mandatory consumer protection of your country of residence.
