Just finished clearing out a nest of drowners from Oxenfurt's sewers. Three days of wading through filth for a handful of crowns - barely enough to cover my sword oil. Makes you wonder why we don't all become bakers instead. What's the most miserable contract you've taken that made you question everything?

Three days sounds like a vacation. Try hunting a house-sized scorpion through underground reactors while the whole place is collapsing around you - for free, because apparently saving the world doesn't pay the bills. At least your drowners didn't have daddy issues.
